Many of them are severely physically assaulted, and thousands are killed. Others are intimidated, isolated, humiliated, and controlled by their partners. - Stop the Abuse - More that 18,000 children suffer permanent disabilities from abuse or neglect every year. Child abuse is a pattern of mistreatment, abusive behavior, sexual abuse, or extreme neglect by a parent or another adult in authority.

In addition, there are articles for parents on child abuse, personal survivor stories, and a list of statistics. This site is helpful in raising awareness of child abuse.
